No news is no news
We’re still alive. I guess that’s the gist of this update. About a week has passed since my frantic delving into the liquor cabinet, and I’m pleased to report a moderate turn-around. Not quite a turn-around then, perhaps more like a turn. Her colic is being managed by Suntorymedicinal means, she’s still gaining weight and apart from some persistent day-night reversal, things are definitely going better.
Not to gloss over that last point – she sleeps like a cherub during the day (while everyone visits and admires our little angel), then somehow mutates and screams like a wild-eyed banshee during the night. Not ideal, not desirable, and not all the attractive at 3am. And I mean… “like a banshee”. She’s really got a colossal set of lungs and a remarkable repertoire of not-so-calming cries.
Anyway, we have had our moments to bond with our new addition (who I’ve temporarily dubbed Micro-Awesome), and she certainly has all the hallmarks of being a full-time cherub – providing we survive to see the metamorphosis. We’re both still pretty frazzled, which concerns me somewhat as I return to a work-week in 9 hours time. Gasp. Wheeze. Grimace.
So, given my time pressures, no pictures today. I’ve had a great week off work spending time with Jamie. Although not an angel himself, I’ve seen a really precious side to him which I usually miss on account of work. He’s being a real toddler – pushing all the boundaries and exercising all the wrong buttons – but he’s a stunning kid!
Can only wish Janet the best of luck as she (wo)mans the fort! Back to the grindgrinstone!

Am sure you tried everything but i found propping Kristen up, rather than letting her lie flat at night made a huge difference.
