Dodged for the very last time
Well, I’ve aged since I last posted. Yes, I realise that this is in fact a continuous biological process at work, but I have now entered the realm of almost 30. And the recognition of it all has stung somewhat.
But I’ll get over it.
Anyway, not much to write about, barring extreme business on all fronts. The business course is winding up to it’s deafening (and sleep-depriving) crescendo, the year is generally getting a bit long-in-the-tooth, and the holidays beckon. We’ve got two lined up for December, so there is a bright light on the horizon.
Saturday saw another chapter written in the illustrious journal of Mimmo’s-assisted Captain Awesome Birthday events. It was a tremendous do: glam, cheesy and with a certain stench of garlic to it. Many thanks to all my friends who pitched, and no sweat to those who didn’t. History is strongly on the side of there being other occasions!
Sunday presented up a surprise, courtesy of my lovely wife. Knowing that Tuesday would be busy, she arranged a surprise trip to Darling to watch the inimitable Tannie Evita Bezuidenhout, who in duet with a rather sumptious buffet, talked a lot of crap and kept everyone in stitches. It was a wonderful day, and certainly very memorable. The clock is ticking… 363 days…

Hey there
I know I forgot the traditional phone call … well forgot is not quite right, neglected is perhaps a better word. I did remember, but I was driving all day home to Jhb from a lovely family long weekend in Cinsta. Hope I will be forgiven – it looks like you had a fabulous time
