Hired help

Were it a once-off occasion that my boy chose a hammer to help me in the garden, I would have passed it off as a mistake. But I’m beginning to think he has a more… screws-and-nails approach to gardening than I do.

Suppose the obvious thing to report is that we’ve been enjoying pre-summer! Swimming, gardening, braais, beaches and betty’s bay – all the things which I’m hoping will lure our UK-based friends away from a… ignoring the rugby for a second… colder, damper climate. I’m suspecting some might already be packing just to cash in on the recently earned national pride, but just in case some of them missed the news…

On a related note, my heart is heavy for young F1-almost-star Hamilton! Seems like last weekend really was doomed for the English. Have to say though that he’s been nothing short of amazing this year, and in some respects it’s nice that there’s still something for him to strive for in 2008. I’m already looking forward to a new season and they haven’t even decided who’s won this one!

Anycase, just a few more photos to keep up the illusion of my ‘fresh-start’ thing. The camera is in for a CCD replacement, so although I considered blaming the multiple gaps in continuity on the camera, I’ll only really be able to blame the next one on it! Till then…
