I think it’s about time to start afresh, considering I can hardly be considered a regular blogger anymore. So Hello. Welcome to the blog.

A lot has happened since the last post, and those who would be interested are probably already in the know, but the bulk of the action includes
- Janet’s transition into a new job – a part-time (but FULL time) post at BHS – which has had it’s ups and downs. It’s exhausting and challenging in new ways, but the extra time at home has its obvious benefits. School holidays will certainly sweeten the deal
- My starting the Louis Group Business Academy, something which has been profoundly challenging on gazillions of levels – inspiring, motivating, but exhausting! It seems the bulk of students are running their own businesses, allowing a greater degree of time-flexibility. My 8-to-5 keeps me pretty busy!
- A visit from some UK travellers – first Tandy, then Trent & Caryn. Great being able to play hosts!
- Last, but not least, our wonderful, beautiful, entertaining little 18-month-old wonder-boy Jamie. Never short of a smile, an adventure, or a dull moment!
To that end, this morning took a turn for the worse when Jan called me at work, telling me a chair had fallen on his head, and he was still crying nearly an hour later. Fairly unusual, so she left work, debated the medi-clinic, but ended up going to Constantiaberg. I met them there, to see a terribly bruised little nose, and large bump on the back of his head. Very unhappy little chap. Anyway, long-story-short, we were advised to have X-Rays, and although nothing’s broken, we’ve got to wait a day or two to be sure. Which we will…
Anyway, trauma aside, we’ve been enjoying a rather exciting F1 season – both filled with trepidation as to the outcome of Ferrari vs McLaren. I’ve part-timed as a Mechanical Turk for Steve Fossett‘s whereabouts, and have even started reading books again. The helicopter is buried under piles of good intentions, and my other hobbies aren’t faring all that much better.
