Missing in action…
Jamie’s toothbrush – FOUND. Inside my guitar
A carrot – FOUND. In a pot in a cupboard
One slipper – MISSING
Tape-measure – FOUND. In the pool
Drill-bit – FOUND. Also in the pool
Cellphone(s) – FOUND. The washbasket.
Why this list? Well… it’s pretty comical, as is the thought of our house being baby-proof in any way. It’s been nice having some sunny weather the last few days, but sure enough, the clouds roll in with the weekend. Jamie’s also been sick recently, so all outside activity has been curtailed somewhat. Cabin Fever!
I started my business course this past Tuesday, and came home pretty pumped. I’m looking forward to learning something new, practical and different to the technical nonsense I spend my days involved with. It’s going to be a LOT of reading and related effort, but is still appealing in a sick, knowledge-craving way. Also, it’s been 4 days since I’ve logged into Facebook, as I’m trying to cover work in the evenings.
The success of Lewis Hamilton has reinvigorated our interest in F1 – nice having a driver to support after JPM left for NASCAR. Seems he’s doing reasonably well that side of the world having secured his first Nextel win – bit hard to follow the news though!
Last, not least – this caught my attention this morning, and although it’s pretty old, I found it quite funny.

Your slipper’s in the salad drawer in the fridge. Possibly anyway.
It’s amazing that we think our kids are unique. Alex has hidden basically the same stuff in the same places. Do you think they secretly get together and plan their next moves, like some sort of terrorist cell?
Alex isn’t allowed to play my cellphone since 1. it’s too fraggile and 2. MTN take 4 months to repair it when it goes wrong. However, when he managed to get hold of it the other day, he went onto the internet and ordered me a “CallerTunez” for people to hear when they call me instead of the “boring” ring-ring. He chose DJ Cleo’s Ndiya Ndiya (?!?) at a cost of R5 for three months.
Not content with that, he then activated it and also (at a further cost of R5) extended the subscription to the 7th Jan 2008.
I promise that, as far-fetched as this may seem, it’s actually true.
Be scared. They know far more than we think.

Hi Noel and Janet
I stumbled across your blog, good to find out that you guys are doing well. Jamie looks like a real sweetie! Great news that his op went well.
Cheers

That was hysterical to read…both yours and about Alex’s cellphone order! The carrot in the pot in the cupboard…oh my, I guess no dull moments in the RG house!
