Jamie’s Surgery

Well, the time has come to post details of next week. Jamie will be admitted to Christian Barnard Memorial Hospital (ex Citipark) at about noon on Wednesday 11th. We’ll meet the surgeon (Dr Susan Vosloo) and probably gain more insight into the details, and she, with the Paediatric Cardiologist (Dr Harold Pribut) will plan the specifics of the surgery based on scans and examinations of Jamie done that afternoon.

The operation will take place on Thursday 12th, and from what I can gather will be over by lunchtime. Jamie is expected to spend 2-3 days in ICU, and probably the best part of a week in hospital. Janet will most likely stay the evenings in Town with him, and I’ll be on leave most of the time, able to spend time at the hospital.
